Urban Politics and Governance in Canada

Themes

This course examines issues of contemporary Canadian urban politics and governance. Topics include: the structure of local government, the dilemma of metropolitan governance, the role of cities in the Canadian federation, and the complexity of urban public policy. Special emphasis is placed on governance challenges in the Toronto region.
