Thucydides’ War of the Athenians and the Peloponnesians; the Book of Judges; Rousseau’s Le Lévite d’Ephraim; commentaries on these.
Format and Requirements
Several essays and a take-home test. Class sessions will run for three hours and will focus on intensive interpretation and discussion of primary texts.
Prerequisites
POL200Y1 or POL200Y5 or (POLC70H3 and POLC71H3) or POL320Y1 or POL320Y5 or POL323Y1 or POL330Y1 or POL355Y1 or a relevant course in Jewish Studies.
