Global Political Economy I: History and Theory
Themes
This course challenges the separation of global politics and economics. It explores key economic aspects of global politics and political aspects of international economics. It introduces prominent theoretical approaches to understanding and addressing global problems of collective action. It then surveys the historical background and key issues underneath related policy debates in the contemporary era. Although part of the political science curriculum, the content covered is relevant to students of business and economics, geography and history, and cultural studies and sociology.
