Introduction to Quantitative Reasoning I
Themes
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of quantitative research in political science — and social science in general. The learning goal is to properly understand and critically assess quantitative data analysis in research articles and policy reports published by governments, think tanks, non-profit organizations, and news media. A critical assessment means that propositions and arguments are considered plausible only if they are supported by empirical findings grounded in a sound methodological design.
