The internationalist, dependence, and neo-realist approaches to the study of Canadian foreign policy; an overview of major doctrines and decisions since 1945; the governmental, domestic and external determinants of policy; Canada's relations with the United States; and Canada's relations with other global regions.

Format and Requirements

A lecture course with a test at the end of the first term (25%), a research essay of 3,000 words due the first week after Reading Week (50%) and a final test in the last week of the term (25%).
