Introduction to Quantitative Reasoning
Themes
Quantitative evidence has increasingly become an important part of political science research and public policy debates. The results of quantitative empirical analysis can be seen in many research articles and books in political science and various reports in divergent policy issues. This course provides important foundations of these quantitative empirical studies to enable students to interpret and evaluate the results of quantitative statistical analysis in an accurate and meaningful manner.. The topics to be covered include scientific study of politics, research designs, foundations of statistical inference, and regression analysis.
