Quebec Politics and Social Change

Themes

This course starts with a historical introduction to the major events and forces shaping Québec politics. This is followed an overview of the social, economic and political changes Québec went through since the Quite Revolution. The course deals with some of the contemporary issues in Québec politics such as the role of the state in the economy, immigration, relations with the rest of Canada, and separatism.
