Foundations and Approaches to Comparative Politics (Core)

Themes

This seminar is intended to introduce students to the major debates in the study of comparative politics. Students will be exposed to a broad range of theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of comparative politics. The course focuses on important theoretical texts that have defined the field. In terms of research design, students will be exposed to readings which employ single case studies to small group comparisons to large projects.
