Urban Policy and Policymaking
This course examines the varied drivers and challenges of urban policy and policymaking processes, focusing primarily on issues of social, economic, and environmental sustainability. It includes discussion of the policy challenges confronting cities in the contemporary context, theoretical approaches to understanding their origins and solutions, and an exploration of the available solutions. Cases include the Flint water crisis, climate change mitigation, and transportation policy.
