International Political Economy of Finance

Themes

The course explains why financial markets exist, and their evolution, by looking at the agents, actors, and institutions that generate demand for them and by considering how that demand is satisfied. We also analyze the causes and consequences of financial crises as well as cooperation in the international monetary system.
