Human Cultural Security: An Applied Workshop on Culture in International Relations
Themes
This course explores the role of culture in international relations by examining the relationship between culture and human security. While the question of culture has become an issue of increasing prominence in global affairs, its role within the human security agenda remains largely unexplored. The course will assess the validity of applying a cultural lens in the human security endeavour in order to develop a cultural approach to achieving human security.

Format and Requirements
Weekly two-page report (20%); class attendance and participation (20%); seminar presentation (10%); 5,000 word essay (50%).
