Globalization, Democracy, and Growth

Themes

This course focuses on the link between political institutions, economic policy, and global economic integration. We will read and discuss seminal and more recent studies that explore whether globalization has altered the relationship between democratic institutions and economic policy choices in developed and developing countries. Familiarity with quantitative methods in Political Science is necessary to understand and discuss the readings as the majority of them will such approaches.
