Biography

Etienne Cardin-Trudeau is a PhD candidate at the department of political science. His main research interest is in democratic theory, with some attention to Canadian politics. For his dissertation, he works on the retrieval and reconstruction of the political thought of Mary Parker Follett, which he articulates as a theory of participatory democracy emphasizing the motor aspect of participation. He is also interested in the Canadian context and the different democratic claims of peoplehood that inhabit it, most notably with the Indigenous peoples and the Québécois.
