Alexander Sodiqov Back in Toronto

Alexander Sodiqov, the PhD student from the University of Toronto who was arrested and detained under suspicion of “espionage” in Tajikistan, was permitted to return to Toronto to continue his PhD studies. He and his family have arrived and are doing well. Alex remains formally under investigation and is unable safely to return to Tajikistan, but the support he received from many people around the world was and is very much appreciated. Thank you.
