Ronald Deiberts book ‘Reset’ shortlisted for two prestigious book awards

Congratulations to Ronald Deibert whose book “Reset: Reclaiming the Internet for Civil Society,” was shortlisted for both the 2020 Donner Prize and the Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing.

The Donner prize, given by the Donner Canadian Foundation to recognise the best public policy thinking, writing and research by a Canadian, was announced on May 19th with the prize ultimately going to Joseph Heath for his book The Machinery of Government: Public Administration and the Liberal State.

The Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing is given by the Writers’ Trust of Canada and is awarded annually for a book of literary nonfiction that captures a political subject of relevance to Canadian readers, and has the potential to shape or influence thinking on Canadian political life.

The winner will be announced on September 22nd.
