RBC Chair in Economic and Public Policy

Congratulations to Professor Linda White who has been appointed as the next RBC Chair in Economic and Public Policy. This Chair is held by a member of the Departments of Political Science or Economics on a five year rotating basis, and is bestowed on an internationally renowned scholar who will provide intellectual leadership in policy research, development and implementation. Ideally, the chair holder will work with scholars in other social science departments and in cognate faculties including the Munk School, Law, Management, School of the Environment and Social Work to excite interest, enhance teaching and promote research in public and economic policy.

Political Science Chair Antoinette Handley said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Linda White as the next RBC Chair in Economic and Public Policy. Her appointment will run from run from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2024. Please join me in congratulating Linda on this recognition of her outstanding research achievements, her leadership in these fields and her cross-disciplinary collaborations with colleagues.”

Professor White intends to use the RBC Chair to engage the broader community through a number of activities including academic workshops, public conferences, and outreach activities including maintaining research project websites and publishing op-eds in traditional and online forms.
