‘Remember This Name’ is a new series from U of T News which focuses on how former U of T students around the globe are transforming research. In their fifth instalment, they turn the spotlight on Debra Elizabeth Thompson, who completed her PhD in political science at University of Toronto and is currently an assistant professor of African American studies at Northwestern University in Chicago. In the feature, Thompson talks about her U of T experience and what it’s like studying race in Trump’s America.
