The ‘Morimitsu Inaba Doctoral Fellowship in the Political Economy of Development’ has just been announced in the Department of Political Science.
Generously endowed by Dr. Morimitsu and Mrs. Etsu Inaba, the fellowship will be awarded to a Political Science doctoral student based on academic merit, whose field of interest is political economy of development, including interdisciplinary topics involving politics and economics, state-building, foreign assistance programs, and international organizations engaged in development.
Dr. Inaba completed his PhD in Political Economy at the University of Toronto in 1970. His distinguished career took him from prestigious research institutes in Japan to the Asian Development Bank, including a lengthy posting in the Philippines.
