Political Science alumnus chosen as Government House Leader

The CBC reports that Dominic LeBlanc, who holds a BA in political science from U of T (Trinity College 1989) has been chosen as Government House Leader by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The son of former Liberal cabinet minister and governor general Romeo LeBlanc, he is a lawyer from New Brunswick who served as a special adviser to former Prime Minister Jean Chretien before being elected in Beausejour in 2000. LeBlanc’s appointment as Government House Leader means he will be in charge of stickhandling the Liberal agenda through the House of Commons. The full article is available here.
