In memory of Mark Zacher (1938 – 2014), distinguished professor of international relations at the University of British Columbia and occasional visiting professor at the University of Toronto, the journal International Organization and Cambridge University Press have compiled a special volume to honor his life and work. The journal’s editors stated ‘Mark’s research on international politics made a significant contribution to our understanding of international relations. This special issue highlights Mark’s work by reproducing his important contributions on regime theory, international trade, and territoriality.’ Chair of University of Toronto’s Political Science department Louis Pauly introduces the issue with an article on Zacher’s pioneering contributions to scholarship in his field.
