Remembering Rotstein

April 30, 2015

Today, family, friends and colleagues will celebrate the life of Professor Abe Rotstein in a memorial service to be held today at Benjamin’s Park Memorial Chapel, in Toronto.

The outpouring of tributes to honour Professor Rotstein since his passing on Monday has been incredible. One of the best tributes has been penned by Toronto Star columnist Tom Walkom; who is a former student of the great economics nationalist. To read his column, please click here.

Yesterday, The Toronto Star also published a well-written obituary that chronicles the life and achievements of Professor Rotstein. You can read that here.

As an esteemed senior fellow at Toronto’s Massey College, Rotstein also made significant contribution to the evolution of its William Southam Journalism Fellowship. After serving as the programme’s academic advisor from 1981-2008, he looked back on his involvement several generations of great Canadian journalists in an essay in the 2010-2011 edition of the Massey News.
