The topic of the workshop is:

Civil Law and Civil Sovereignty
Roman Law and the Doctrine of Popular
Sovereignty in Early Modern Constitutional Thought

There are two commentators at this event: Professors David Dyzenhaus and Kenneth Pennington.

David Dyzenhaus is a professor of Law and Philosophy at the University of Toronto

Kenneth Pennington is a Kelly-Quinn Professor of Ecclesiastical and Legal History at the Catholic University of America
