Intensive Course on The Middle East and International Diplomacy

The Department of Political Science will be offering an Intensive Course on The Middle East and International Diplomacy – Today and in the Future (POL 498H/2801H1 S) by John Bell who is the Director of the Middle East and Mediterranean Program at the Toledo International Centre for Peace in Madrid, and was formerly Middle East Director in Jerusalem for Search for Common Ground, a global conflict resolution organization.

The course is scheduled for two weeks from January 20 – 30, 2014 as follows:

  • Monday, January 20, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, January 22, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 23, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Monday, January 27, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, January 28, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, January 29, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, January 30, 2014, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Eligibility and Enrolment procedures

Applications:

Undergraduate students who are interested in taking the course should submit the intensive course application form (available in the Undergraduate Office) along with a copy of their academic record (a printout from ROSI would be fine) to Elizabeth Jagdeo, Undergraduate Office, Department of Political Science, Sidney Smith Hall Room 3027.

Because of the intensive nature of the course, undergraduate students are expected to have at least a 2.7 CGPA.

Graduate students who are interested in taking the course should submit their request to Carolynn Branton, Graduate Office, Department of Political Science, Sidney Smith Hall Room 3026.

Deadline: No later than 5 p.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013.

Results: Students will be notified by the department by Friday, October 18, 2013 if their application/request has been approved.
