Biography

Jae Hyun is a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of Toronto. His dissertation project examines the ongoing civil war in Myanmar to understand why some rebel groups establish large businesses while continuing to fight the state during civil wars. Additionally, he is also interested in the political legacies of civil war violence in post-war societies, the political economy of civil war, and mixed-methods approach to research.
