Biography

Research interests: Nationalism and state-formation, ancient and early modern political thought. Publications include: “Nietzsche on Thucydidean Realism” (Review of Politics, 2015); “Drawing Out the Leviathan” (International Studies Review, 2016); “With Steel or Poison” (coauthored) (Interpretation, 2018); and articles and reviews in The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Foreign Policy, The American Interest, and elsewhere.
