Biography

William’s research focuses on the politics of international finance, global governance, and the political economy of multinational corporations. His dissertation, Bailing-in or -out? The Politics of Moral Hazard in International Finance, examines the history of cooperation in managing financial crises and the politics of harmonizing national bankruptcy laws for financial corporations. His other research projects focus on cryptocurrency regulation, for which he has made several media appearances, as well as the political economy of the rise of China, which has been published in Review of International Political Economy.
