Biography

Alex’s research focuses on the politics of land, local government and justice in Africa, with specific focuses on South Africa and Kenya. In his dissertation, Alex examined agriculture and South Africa’s post-apartheid land redistribution program. His other research focuses on the political economy of land, settler colonialism, the politics of elections and local government on the continent.
