Biography

Chad is from the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg community of Pamitaashkodeyong (Hiawatha First Nation) and his current research focuses on whether Indigenous peoples participating in Canada’s electoral process can bring forth decolonization and reconciliation. Additionally, Chad also enjoys assessing Indigenous/Canadian relations, Indigenous/provincial relations, Intergovernmental relations, constitutionalism, Settler-State/Indigenous relations, and forms of Indigenous ways of knowing/research. He is also conducting research for the Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg nation, and its six communities, as a whole.
