Biography

Marcus is interested in Canadian and comparative politics as they relate to gender and diversity in political institutions. His dissertation, titled Where are the Others?: Gender and Diversity in Legislative Representation in Advanced Industrialized Democracies, examines the effect of gender quotas on various types of group representation to understand the inter-group effects of these practices. He holds a Master of Arts in political studies from the University of Manitoba and two undergraduate degrees in humanities.
