Biography

Asif’s interests include welfare politics, state capacity and economic development. His dissertation examines China’s subnational welfare expansion, local state capacity, patronage politics and intergovernmental relation using multi-method analysis. Asif is also interested in the social cost from the evolving nature of work and technology.
