Biography
Nathan’s research interests include the political economy of climate policymaking in fossil fuel-exporting, liberal democracies. He is currently working on a dissertation and a book comparing climate policies in Canada, Norway and Australia. In 2017 he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (Oslo) and at the Australian German Climate and Energy College at the University of Melbourne. Forthcoming publications include “The Global Subsidies Initiative: Catalytic Actors and the Politics of Fossil Fuel Subsidy Reform” (with co-authors Steven Bernstein and Matthew Hoffmann) with Cambridge University Press. Nathan is a Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation Scholar.
