Gustavo Carvalho

Biography

Gustavo Carvalho is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of Toronto. He holds a BA in Law and a MA in International Relations from Brazilian universities and worked for over six years in the Brazilian financial markets. Gustavo’s research interests include the social structures underpinning international capital markets, and his dissertation explores cases of Brazilian debt crises to analyze how those factors shape cooperation between creditors and debtors at the international level. His most recent publication is an article on the use of simulations for the teaching of International Relations at International Studies Perspectives.
