Abraham Singer

Biography

Abraham Singer is a doctoral candidate in Political Science at the University of Toronto and holds a M.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His research interests include normative political thought, distributive justice, corporate governance, business ethics, history of political thought, and US politics. Abraham Singer’s dissertation investigates the political theory of the corporation, critiquing economic defenses of current corporate hierarchies and articulating alternative principles which might ground the organization of corporate institutions in a just economic order. At the University of Toronto he is a Junior Fellow with the Jackman Humanities Institute and a Graduate Associate with the Centre for Ethics. In 2014 Singer will also be doing research abroad while affiliated with the Quinlan School of Business at Loyola University and the Normative Orders Cluster of Excellence at Goethe University Frankfurt. His research has been published in the peer-reviewed Business Ethics Journal Review, and is under review at a number of other major business ethics publications.
