Francis Wiafe-Amoako

Biography

Dr. Francis Wiafe-Amoako holds a Ph.D. in African Studies from Howard University in Washington DC. He also holds an MA in Political Science (International Relations and Comparative Politics) from SUNY Binghamton in New York and an MA in Political Science (Public Policy and Administration) from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania. His teaching career have span the fields of International relations and security, international development, peace negotiations, comparative political institutions, African Government and politics, and politics of the global south. Dr. Wiafe-Amoako has been a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University since 2011, and he is also currently the director/lead researcher at the Center for Sustained Domestic Security and Development (CESDOSED).

Research:
His research focuses on Human Security, International development, and Institutional challenges in Africa.
