G20 and the PM

November 25, 2015

As part of this year’s G-20 summit held in Antalya, Turkey, members of the G20 Research Group, co-founded by Political Science Professor John Kirton, had the priviledge of meeting Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

They presented him with a copy of ‘G20 Turkey: The Antalya Summit 2015,’ the briefing book edited annually by John Kirton and Madeline Koch, along with guest editor Güven Sak. Serving as the authorized publication for the summit, it informed participants and stakeholders of its process, priorities and issues through contributions from the key leaders, heads of international institutions, and leading global experts. 5,000 physical copies were distributed on site to delegations, media and pre-summit conference participants and another 5,000 through Turkey’s diplomatic service at its posts abroad.

The field team, which included Political Science undergraduate student Sarah Scott, consisted of 21 scholars, students, alumni and professionals from the G20 Research Group’s global network. Scholars came from the University of Toronto, Britain’s Oxford University, Russia’s Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), and China’s Fudan University and Shanghai Institute of International Studies (SISU).
