Biography
Patricia Mockler is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream with the Department of Political Science. She specializes in political participation, deliberative democracy and democratic innovations. She is especially interested in heterogeneity in political participation in the Canadian context, with an emphasis on non-electoral forms of participation. Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow at Western University and the Canadian Opinion Research Archive. She has published manuscripts examining inclusion in democratic innovations (Comparative European Politics) and exploring the defining features of the deliberative-mini-public model (Bristol University Press).
