Biography

Melissa's current project focuses on democratic collective agency beyond the state and collaborative work on Indigenous political innovations. Published work ranges from Voice, Trust, and Memory: Marginalized Groups and the Failings of Liberal Representation (Princeton 1998) to Deparochializing Political Theory (ed., Cambridge 2020), as well as numerous edited volumes and articles in journals such as Political Theory, Canadian Journal of Political Science, Review of Politics, and Polity.
