Julie Moreau

Julie Moreau is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and Sexual Diversity Studies. Her research interests include LGBTQ politics, social movements, and citizenship. Her book, After Equality: LGBT Activism in South Africa & Argentina is under contract with Cambridge University Press. In it, she explores the construction of collective sexual identities in contexts of legal equality. She has also published in journals such as Politics & Gender, Political Research Quarterly, New Political Science, Space and Polity, Journal of Lesbian Studies, Mobilization: An International Journal, and several edited collections. Professor Moreau received her Ph.D. in Political Science from McGill University. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St. Louis prior to appointment at the University of Toronto.
