Biography

Carla Norrlöf is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto. She has a degree in Political Science and Economics and specializes in International Relations. Her research focus is on the relationship between economics and security, great powers, international finance and monetary relations as well as inequality. She has published with Cambridge University Press, MIT Press and Oxford University Press as well as the Canadian Journal of Political Science, Conflict Management and Peace Science, Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Cooperation and Conflict, International Affairs, International Political Science Review, International Security, Review of International Political Economy and Security Studies. She serves on the editorial board of International Studies Review, International Studies Quarterly and International Theory. Professor Norrlöf has testified twice before Congress in the United States. Her opinion pieces and commentary have appeared in Foreign Affairs, The Globe and Mail, The Guardian, Le Monde, Newsweek, Project Syndicate and The Washington Post.
