Biography
Professor of Law. Author of The Unity of the Common Law: Studies in Hegelian Jurisprudence, Constitutional Goods, Punishment and Freedom, as well as articles on the philosophy of law and political theory, including, The Significance of Hegel’s Prefatory Lectures on the Philosophy of Law, Retributivism and the Death Penalty, Constitutional Monarchy as the Divine Regime: Hegel’s Theory of the Just State, Hegel and the Crisis of Private Law, The Liberal Duty to Recognize Cultures, and Private Law and Kantian Right.
