Donner Prize Shortlist

Congratulations to Dan Breznitz whose book Innovation in Real Places: Strategies for Prosperity in an Unforgiving World (Oxford University Press), has been shortlisted for the prestigious Donner prize (2021), which recognizes the best book on public policy by a Canadian.

The other finalists for the $50,000 award include:

  • Mark Carney for Value(s): Building a Better World For All (Signal/McClelland & Stewart)
  • Stephanie Carvin for Stand On Guard: Reassessing Threats to Canada’s National Security (University of Toronto Press)
  • Carol Anne Hilton for Indigenomics: Taking a Seat at the Economic Table (New Society Publishers)
  • André Picard for Neglected No More: The Urgent Need to Improve the Lives of Canada’s Elders in the Wake of a Pandemic (Random House Canada)

The 2021 Donner Prize will be announced on May 31st.
