Steven Bernstein awarded an Honorary doctorate from the University of Copenhagen

November 19, 2021

Congratulations to Professor Steven Bernstein who has been awarded an Honorary doctorate from the University of Copenhagen, the highest academic accolade that the University confers without the recipient first having defended a doctoral thesis in Denmark. The vast majority of honorary doctorates are conferred on non-Danish scientists who, as visiting teachers or through international research collaboration, have played a significant role in research and researcher training at the University of Copenhagen. Of the award, which Professor Bernstein hopes will mark the beginning of an ongoing relationship with the department of political science at the University said: “I’m extremely grateful that such an exciting and innovative department of political science, at such an excellent university, would feel fit to put me forward for this honour. I look forward to building long lasting ties, and am excited about supporting their strong commitment to leadership in climate change and sustainability research.”
