Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award

September 30, 2019

Congratulations to Nathaniel Gilmore who was recently selected as the winner of the St. George Campus 2017/18 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award.

The committee, comprised of Professors Grace Skogstad, Erin Tolley and TA Coordinator Ryan Hurl thanked him for his dedication to teaching saying: “Our students have benefited immensely from his energy and careful work.”

Nathaniel, who defended his PhD thesis in August said: “This award means that I have been lucky to teach the excellent students at the University of Toronto. It also means that the problems of political theory, the paradoxes of Socrates, the terrors of Machiavelli and the dreams of Locke, are the problems faced by every student in everyday life. I received this award because I introduced good men and women to good books. I have just matched like with like.”
