Urban Politics and Governance in Canada
Themes
This course examines issues of contemporary Canadian urban politics and governance. Topics include local government and governance, intergovernmental relations, urban public policy, the urban autonomy movement in Canada, public finance and the role of cities in the global political economy. The course also explores connections between contemporary theories of urban politics and aspects of governing Toronto and its region.
