Topics in Comparative Politics III
Populism, Elections, and Representation
The purpose of this course is three fold. First, to examine how representation occurs through elections. Second, to examine populism in both historical and current forms. Third, to understand how recent waves of populism matter for the representational function of elections and the behaviour of politicians after elections.
