The course includes examination of some of the larger issues related to environmental policy in Canada, including oil sands, climate change, biodiversity, aquaculture, and Arctic development issues. Overarching themes in the course include negotiating federalism and understanding democracy in environmental policy, environmental justice, and the strengths/weaknesses of market-based policies.
