Theoretical Approaches to International Security

Themes

The course will review the main theoretical tools in international relations, focusing on contemporary international security issues. The realist, liberal and constructivist approaches offer each its own set of vocabulary, variables and explanations about international security. The course will confront them with contemporary security issues, from international terrorism to nuclear proliferation.
