Our theme this year will be leadership and its problems in Biblical, classical, and modern perspective.
Texts
Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy; Xenophon, Anabasis; Rousseau, Discourse on Political Economy.
Format and Requirements
Several essays and a take-home test. Class sessions will run for three and a half hours and will focus on intensive interpretation and discussion of primary texts.
