Biography

Devin’s research examines the birth of feminism and socialism in China at the turn of the 20th century, and investigates the interplay of the global transmission of ideas and their uptake and transformation by local political actors. His research interests include the history of political thought, Chinese and East Asian political thought, gender and sexuality, philosophy of language, and continental philosophy.
