Biography

Rachael’s research focuses on political membership and participation. Her dissertation, Beyond Autonomy: Intellectual Disability and Political Life, considers the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities in political communities. She draws on feminist political theory and democratic theory, as well as various critical approaches to question norms of who counts as a political actor and provides a more inclsuive account of political community.
